Today, I decided to start this blog for my family and friends. Now everyone can find out what is going on in my life from me, instead of, Mom and Dad. MLAL

A Last Chance Goodbye

About two weeks ago, I had the chance to take my Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, and Dad to Le Mars, IA. to see my Great Grandma. She was in a nursing home, and not doing very well. Monday night she passed away. I miss her, but I'm very glad she isn't in pain anymore. Here are a few pictures of our time with her.

Weekend update

Long time no blog huh. Well since last time I've been a very busy girl. I've been potty training like crazy. Mom wanted me to be completely potty trained by her birthday on the 1st, but that didn't happen. I'm closer though.

I've also been going to daycare. I like the teachers and have gotten to know a lot of new friends. I'm learning so many new things!

Lyla the Blurr

Please excuse the lack of pictures. I currently move to fast for our camera. Whenever we take pictures most of them turn out looking like this. I think mommy needs a faster camera.

Bye Bye Mullet

I got to go see Aunt Manda at school today, and she cut my hair and Daddy's hair. I did so much better than my first hair cut. I got to look at a book, so that helped me stay still. I still didn't want to wear the cape. That thing just freaks me out. I know you all are curious. Getting my hair cut didn't make my little curls go away they just look neater know. I also, still have my signature crazy Lyla hair. I work hard to look this good! When Aunt Manda was done I got to pick out a sucker, and eat it while Daddy got his hair cut.

In other news, I'm doing really well potty training. Mom is really proud of me! I've gone potty on the big toilet lots of times this weekend, and I stayed pretty dry too.

Miss Cranky Pants

I'm being a cranky butt today. I took a short nap, and after I was picked up from Grandma and Pop Pop's Mom and Dad took me to the Sunken Gardens. I liked the looking at the fish. It was so so hot out, and my allergies are acting up. All together, it added up to me being very crabby this afternoon. Because, I'm feeling kind of miserable I don't have much to say. I hope your day is better than mine.

BBQ and Pool Time

Today, we went over to Grandma and Pop Pop's for hamburgers and some swimming. I enjoyed my time in the pool much more today. I played catch with Dad and Uncle Dave. They thought I was pretty cute when I said, "ready, ready" before throwing it to them. I also enjoyed sitting on a raft all by myself. It was kind of like having my own baby pool inside the big pool. That is it for now. I'll be back soon.

hi ho hi ho it's off to Nanna's I go

It is Friday, and that means I'm spending the night at Nanna's. Yay!!! As for what I did today, I took such a long nap I don't remember most of it. I did get to go to daycare with Grandma. I had fun, but I was bit by another kid. I'm ok...I even have a really cool mark on my hand. That kid had some sharp teeth.

Tomorrow, I get to do so many exciting things. Farmers market with Nanna and Auntie Shell, supper at G-GPa's, after all that I end my day by going to the nursery at church. Man I love my life! That is all today...MLAL

So You Think You Can Dance

Yesterday, was SYTYCD's performance show. Mom lets me stay up late, so I can watch the show. I enjoy all the music, and the dancers. They are all so talented. I hope to be that good one day. For now, I just practice in the living room. In July I will start going to dance class. I'm really excited! Only 13 more days! Tonight is the results show, maybe Dad will get some pictures or a movie of me dancing with the show.

Oh my bells and whistles!

Yesterday, Daddy had to get a root canal. While he was at the dentist Mom and I went to the mall. We shopped for three hours, and I loved every minute of it. Mommy even let me carry a shopping bag, so I could feel like a big girl. We went to so many stores. My favorite part was trying on lots of jewelry. They make so many fun necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Mommy also tried on a bunch of clothes. She let me pick out the colors. I liked that a lot. Mommy bought me a new pair of green sandals. They look kind of like the shoes Mom was wearing, but a different color.

At the last store we went to the fire alarms went off. People started screaming. I just laughed at them. The lady at the store told us someone just went out the wrong door, and we were safe. However, when we left the store guys in uniforms were running around screaming into walkie talkies. Just like the lady said we stayed safe, because, there wasn't a fire after all.

I got a real treat yesterday.

Mom had the day off, and she took me to the Lincoln Children's Zoo. It was really busy, but I still had a lot of fun. My favorite parts had to be the goats, ducks, and Leo the paper eating lion. Mom let me feed Leo. I had to stretch all the way up on my tip toes, but I didn't need any help.

After the zoo we went to see Nana at work. It was kind of funny seeing her with a phone coming out of her ear. When Nana had to go back to work we went to pick up Daddy. I got to eat pizza, and listen to the piano that plays itself while we waited. By the time we got home I was exhausted, so I took a really nice nap.

My life is pretty average this week

Today, I went to the hospital to make sure Grandma was ok after her surgery. I didn't like seeing her hooked up to all the wires, but once those came off I was able to relax. She is doing good, and will most likely go home tomorrow.

I don't really have anything else going on this week. MLAL

Two trips to Lowe's and...

...Mom's 1st outside project of the year is done. The lilac bushes Daddy and I gave her for Mother's Day last year was her focus. She laid down fabric that blocks out weeds, and topped it off with mulch. I must say I did a pretty good job supervising her. I also helped spread out some of the mulch.

After the 2nd trip to Lowe's Dad and I were pretty hungry, so we ate pizza at Sam and Louie's. It tasted pretty good. They also got me an order of mac and cheese. I almost ate the whole thing.

Lemers, Camels, and Goats Oh My!

It's Friday, and that means I get to spend the night at Nana's. Nana lives by the Lincoln Children's Zoo. When I go over there I get to hear all of the animals. I can hear the train, with its whistle, go by too. Mom and Dad say they are going to get a zoo membership, so I can go see the animals this summer. We went to the zoo last year, but I don't remember very much of it. I hope I can remember everything this year. It sounds like a cool place! I have to go pack now! Bye!

All about Me!

First and foremost, I want to apologize to my fans. Since, Mom is working so many extra hours I haven't posted in a while. I have been busy helping Dad keep the house running without Mom. It is a lot of hard work.

It is time for me to update you on the new things I am doing.
1. I can say Josh- It is pretty convenient that my Uncle and WaMu's boyfriend have the same name.
2. I can say a lot of new words- Daddy is excited about this. He says it is about time I can explain what I want.
3. I'm potty training- It isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, but I like using pull ups. I can dress myself.

Will July hurry up and get here?!?!

Mom taught two dance classes at a studio in Gretna today. Not only did she really enjoy herself, but she found out I am old enough to take a dance class with her this summer. I may be one of the youngest kids there, but I will still have fun. Maybe, I can show the big kids a step or two.

Antelope Park...Yipee!!!

Today, Dad took me to the park since Mom had to work late. Grandma, Pappa, and Aunt Amanda came too. I had a ton of fun running around. Dad had a lot of fun too. I think he likes the park as much as I do.

After going to the park Pappa took me over to his neighbor's house. I scraped my chin climbing up the steps. The scratch is pretty big, so I'm going to tell everybody I hurt myself doing a big trick at the park instead of what really happened.

I'm going to miss my Mommy

Today Mom starts working a really crazy schedule. I'm not sure how I'm going to like this. Sure I get to spend time with Dad, but it's not the same without Mom. She says it will only be for a couple of months, but to me that sounds like a really long time. I'll have to get used to some big changes like Daddy cooking again, and helping him remember to do the dishes. Well I better log off, so I can pull fish out of the freezer for supper.

So...the little guy is kind of cute after all.

Today, Mom and Dad took me to see Uncle Dave, Aunt Elisha, and Baby "Da". They seem to be settling in to a pretty good routine. I really wanted to help with Da today. I even leaned in so he could kiss my forehead, but he didn't try very hard. I really like my cousin, and I can't wait till he can start playing with me.

Easter weekend

Saturday we went to my GREAT Aunt Debbie's farm for lunch, and my first ever egg hunt. I needed some help at first, but after a few tries I got it on my own. With the wind being so strong, and the hill being kind of steep my eggs fell out of my basket. It was ok, because, my WaMu helped me pick them up.

Sitting at the hospital

Today Mom took the day off, and we went to see baby "Da" AKA baby Michael, Aunt Elisha, and Uncle Dave at the hospital. I like to look at baby Da, but I'm not ready to help Mom hold him yet. I also want to give him my sippy cup, and oranges when he cries. Nanna said he is to little for that type of thing. I liked the little hospital room much better today when it wasn't so busy. I could walk around more, and didn't get in as much trouble either. I wore myself out at the hospital, because, I fell asleep as soon as I was in my car seat.

Waiting for my new baby cousin.

Yesterday, I went to the hospital to meet my cousin Michael. He is kind of cool. I liked looking at him, but didn't want to help Mom hold him. I wasn't ready for that. Maybe I will still do that the week when not as many people are there too. As for now Uncle Dave and Aunt Elisha did a good job, and I think they will be pretty good parents.

70 degrees out and I'm wearing this?!?

It was a beautiful day out, and of course, I went on another walk today. The crazy thing is I wanted to wear my favorite hat even though it was so warm. I wouldn't take it off no matter how many times Dad asked if I was too hot. He joked that I looked like a "Cone head" again. I guess when I was born my head was cone shaped, or something. Now it is just really big. Oh well...I'm just going to be really smart.

A day full of shopping

Today, I went to the mall with Mom, Dad, and WaMu (my Aunt Ruth for those that don't know). Daddy and I went to the Cookie Company while Mom and WaMu went to the makeup place. Dad let me pick the cookie, so we shared a big chocolate chip cookie. When I finished Dad let me go up and down the escalators until Mom was done at the makeup place.

Once we caught up with Mom we went shoe shopping. I needed to get a pair of sandles to go with my Easter dress. I like trying on the different pairs of shoes, but kept getting surprised by the chime that went off every time a customer went in and out. This made Mom, Dad, and WaMu laugh.

After supper I went on another walk. This time Mom and Dad brought along Juno. I love my puppy so much, sometimes, I give her hugs. I'll have to ask Mom to put up a picture of me with Juno soon. I'm glad it is warming up outside. That means more walks, playing with Juno in the backyard, and jumping on my trampoline.

It's the weekend...start the party!

I started the weekend off relaxing. Mom and Dad went with me on a long walk up to Runza for ice cream. I walked most of the way by myself. I stopped to point out a "dog" and a "cat". When we got home Mom gave me a pedicure with my favorite nail polish color PINK. I picked light pink instead of hot pink since Easter is coming up.

Once, my toes dried Mom and Dad took me out to eat for dinner. We tried the restaurant by our house, Legends. I had mozzarella sticks, mac and cheese, and fried green beans to eat. The waiter gave me a cool cup to take home. I like that place a lot. Dad said it was priced good, and had the best burger in town.

Saturday morning I watched Blue's Clues. while I played Legos. I liked the movie, but it doesn't have good dancing music. After that Pappa Wayne picked up me and Dad. He took me to Grandma's house while they worked on the car.

Saturday night I have a sleep over with Nanna planned. I always have fun over there. Sunday morning we get ready, and go to church. Mom and Dad better get there early if they want to see me before I go to Nursery!
